The competition for young jurors for the Tofifest IFF has been officially opened. All students of secondary schools and students of colleges and universities in the region of Kujawsko-Pomorskie are welcome to participate. We will select two three-member teams from among all applicants: the students jury and the youth jury, which will support the professional jury in assessing films in the On Air main competition.
Rules of the competition are very simple. The only requirement is to send a review of any film that is now screened in cinemas, by 1st October 2014. Reviews cannot exceed 3,500 characters in length. All texts must be sent to press@tofifest.pl.

From among all applications, we will select three people for the Young Jury and three people for the Students Jury. Such jurors will not only have the right to assess films, but also access to the entire festival, festival galas, and the opportunity to take part in the life of the festival, and to have close contact with filmmakers/festival guests. Results will be announced on 6th October 2014.
The Tofifest IFF is called a "rebellious festival" and it has been around, since 2003. The festival focuses on ambitious cinema “with a sparkle”. Every year, we can watch more than 150 productions, divided into four competitions and between ten and twenty other sections. The festival has already played host to the following guests: Geraldine Chaplin, Ulrich Seidl, Jim Sheridan, Jiri Menzel, Emanuelle Seigner, Shirin Neshat, Bogusław Linda, Janusz Gajos, Jerzy Stuhr, and Krystyna Janda. The main prize of the festival is the Golden Angel, which makes reference to the medieval symbol of Torun – the city of Tofifest. This year, Tofifest and the accompanying Audiowizje music section will take place from 18th to 26th October.
