The outstanding film director Bogdan Dziworski has announced the line-up of the team that will conduct the Muzyka do nakręcenia (Music to Make a Video for) video clip workshops during the Audiowizje music section at the Tofifest IFF in Torun. The team and participants of the workshops will make a video clip to the song selected in the competition of the NuPlays website. This year’s Tofifest will also see the opening of an exhibition of unique art photographs taken by Bogdan Dziworski, who is often called “the Polish Cartier-Bresson”.
The outfit to be working under the supervision of Dziworski will be composed of the following people: screenwriter Alek Pietrzak, cinematographer Paweł Chorzepa, editor Kuba Sladkowski, producer Jan Okulicz-Kozaryn (Tlumtlum), and Agnieszka Nawrocka, who is responsible for choreography. The team conducting the workshops will select the following people from among those, who have made their portfolio in the TLUMTLUM website: two operators, one screenwriter, a director, and an editor. The workshops will take place from 21st to 24th October 2014, during the Tofifest IFF in Torun. The workshops will be used to make a video clip to the song selected in the competition organised by the NuPlays website. You are invited to submit your composition, until 30th September. The winning video clip will be premiered on the Onet.pl website.
We have also received some other happy news – the Tofifest IFF will host an exhibition of art photographs taken by Bogdan Dziworski, under the title “Podchody i inne gry towarzyskie” (Stalking and Other Parlour Games), prepared by Leica Gallery Warszawa. The exhibition of Bogdan Dziworski’s photographs – often referred to as “the Polish Cartier-Bresson” – will be a perfect opportunity to see the photographs of which every single one is “worth a thousand words”. The exhibition will show the most famous photographs that have already become part of the history of Polish photography, but also those that have been discovered in the rich archives of the artist, by a Polish representative of Leica.
The topic of the exhibition is man and woman relationship, their nuances and subtleties, the first affections and advances, captured by the exceptionally sensitive eye of the photographer, as well as observing simple behaviours of ordinary men, the essence of masculinity and femininity, and the world of emotions that Bogdan Dziworski kind of rediscovers for the audience. These are emotions translated into a simple language that everybody will understand. These photographs are a mandatory lesson in photography with an outstanding teacher. The exhibition is the effect of the cooperation between the Author and Leica Gallery Warszawa (that is in charge of the Bogdan Dziworski's photographic archive).
