Back in 1990s, Laurence told his girlfriend Fred that he wanted to become a woman. Despite adversities, both of them have decided to face the prejudices of friends, good advice of their families and phobias of the society that imposes rules they cannot and do not want to accept. They set off on a 10-year trip that may not only end up in their losing each other, but also their inner identity. The crossing to the other side seems to be a great mystery, even to themselves.
