Georges and Anne is en elderly couple who have spent a few dozen years together. They both love music, Schubert in particular, as they used to be music teachers. They have a daughter, who lives abroad and is also involved in music. This peaceful and harmonic life is interrupted, when Anne develops a serious health condition and falls into a decline. Georges takes care of his wife Anna with patience and affection, making sure that her dignity is preserved, despite his own growing decrepitness. Both of them must face the last truth of life — death, which shall unite them in love forever.
