Her grandchildren would call her Granny, which was an expression of affection, as she was the most important person in their life. The parents worked on the railway and they were always away. Years passed. Grandchildren are grown up now and they have their own families. Granny sold her house and gave all the money she made by selling it to the grandchildren. She now lives with her daughter and son-in-law, who got an apartment in the city. Unfortunately, disaster struck — the daughter dies and the son-in-law started rebuilding his life, in which there was no place for the mother-in-law. Her niece — a famous journalist — comes from the capital to try and settle Granny in the house of one of the grandchildren...

Lidiya Bobrova was born in 1952, in Zabaykalsky Krai, in the district of Chita. She is a director and screenwriter. In 1975, she graduated from the Department of History at Leningrad State University, and from the Department of Screenwriting at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, in 1983. After graduation, she participated in a two-year traineeship in Kinostudiya “Lenfilm”. In 1989, she completed studies in directing.
