This film is a personal statement of the director’s, who, together with his wife, must face a very rare and incurable disease of their newborn baby – Ondine’s curse (or congenital central hypoventilation syndrome, CCHS). People afflicted with this disease suffer from respiratory arrest, when sleeping, and require a respirator to support breathing. The film demonstrates the process of familiarising with the fear that accompanies this disease.
