Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson was born in Reykjavik, Iceland 1982 and graduated in fine art from the Icelandic Art Academy. There after he moved to Denmark and studied screenwriting. Now he live in Copenhagen and work both there and in Iceland as a filmmaker and a part time teacher in screenwriting, directing and fine art.
