Jakub is a teacher, who lives in the city. One summer, his father sends him to their family mansion in the country. There he finds his grandfather’s journal, hidden inside a bed. This journal has been written backwards — same as Leonardo da Vinci’s journals. In an effort to familiarise with the family’s mansion and its surroundings, Jakub encounters many bizarre figures. All of them have names after philosophers of saints, and they also behave very much like them... Garden is a perfect representation of Šulik’s style of filmmaking that resembles a mystic fable. It is a tempting vision of the Biblical purity, mixed with strong alcohol and Monty Python-like pranks.
