Aydin is a retired actor, who runs a small hotel in central Anatolia. He is accompanied by his young wife Nihal and sister Necla. As snow covers the steppe in the winter, this hotel becomes a shelter, but also a stage for their personal dramas. The film is a study of the relationship between three people, who are close to each other, but remain separate and left to their own resources — their expectations, fears, mutual grievances and dependencies. The breath-taking outdoor locations in Cappadocia are contrasted with an intimate portrait of a married couple, based on brilliant dialogues full of tension.
