25 October, 16:00 · Od Nowa – new hall
Jimmy’s Hall is a story about the colourful life of a rebellious social activist and visionary, who taught young people to think independently and find joy in dancing, which made him public enemy No. 1 in the pre-war catholic Ireland. Director Ken Loach weaves a story about a fight for freedom, in a light way and with subtle sense of humour, focusing his attention on the figure of Jimmy Gralton — a man, who struggled with the Church for the right to dance and freedom of opinion.
