Mateusz, 8, starts his sailing course in a sailing school for juniors. When sailing in his skiff, he must handle the sail and the helm, and fight the unbridled Baltic waves, all by himself, but first and foremost he must fight his own fear. Learning to sail is a hard school that shapes one's character. Will Mateusz overcome his weaknesses and pass his first exam of life?
