Ángela Marquez, who is a student at a film academy in Madrid, is writing a thesis about violence in film. By chance, she finds a snuff video in which a real murder is committed. She soon finds out that the girl tortured in the video used to be one of the students at the same academy, and the professor that discovered the tape is killed. The girl realises that she is in danger and seeks the help of Chema, a fellow student at the academy, who is considered a freak and outsider, fascinated with violence. Following clues, they discover an underground production of the so-called “snuff movies”, i.e. films that show real torture, rape, and murder with extreme cruelty.
