22 October, 15:00 · Od Nowa – new hall
The film starts in 1977, when Tomek Beksiński moves into his new flat. His parents live nearby, in the same housing estate, which makes their relationship remain very intensive. Tomek is over-sensitive and consumed by anxiety, which makes his mother, Zofia, constantly worried about her son. At the same time, Zdzisław Beksiński is trying to dedicate himself completely to art. After the first failed suicide attempt by Tomek, Zdzisław and Zofia must not only struggle for their son, but also for having control over their lives back in their hands again. When Zdzisław signs a contract with Piotr Dmochowski, an art dealer living in France, and Tomek starts working at the Polish Radio, it seems that the worst is over for the family. However, a series of strange and ill-fated events is yet to come...
