Simple Murder Story is a film that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats, while watching surprising twists in the life of a police family shaken by a mysterious murder. Jacek, a young police officer (Filip Pławiak) will do all in his power to protect the mother (Kinga Preis) and his brothers against a quick tempered and despotic father (Andrzej Chyra), who is also a police officer, involved in some shady business. When he is killed, the son becomes a prime suspect. In an effort to prove his innocence, Jacek needs to expose a complex web of intrigue that his late father was involved in.

Arkadiusz Jakubik was born in 1969. In 1992, he graduated from the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School (branch in Wroclaw). He is an actor, director, screenwriter, and musician. From 1993 to 1994, he performed in Roma Musical Theatre (previously known as “Operetka Warszawska”), and also in Rampa Theatre in Warsaw (from 1997 to 2000). He played in the following full-feature films: The Wedding (2004), The Dark House (2009), Traffic Department (2013), Life Feels Good (2013), The Mighty Angel (2014), and Wołyń (2016). Simple Murder Story is a sophomore film he has directed and based on his own script.
