20 October, 14:00 · Od Nowa – new hall
It is the beginning of 1990. Freedom is back, but you can still feel the spirit of the era that has passed. Four women at different ages, who are seemingly happy with their lives, share the same vision of turning it all upside down. The new world in transformation fills them with anxiety, but also triggers suppressed desires. Agata (Julia Kijowska), a young mother trapped in an emotionless marriage, hopes to seek refuge in love that cannot be fulfilled. Renata (Dorota Kolak) is a teacher fascinated by her younger neighbour Marzena (Marta Nieradkiewicz), who is a small-town beauty queen and has a husband working in West Germany. Iza (Magdalena Cielecka), Marzena's sister, is a school principal, and she has a secret love affair with the father of one of the pupils.
