Before the Flight explores the current state of significant modernist and governmental buildings in Abidjan, the largest city of the Ivory Coast. As an architectural tour as well as a tribute to the remarkable architectural achievements of the 60s, 70s and 80s and to ― among other architects ― the great Henri Chomette.

Laurence Bonvin is a Swiss documentary photographer and filmmaker. She graduated from École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles in 1991. Since 2001 she is photography professor at ECAL (University of Art and Design), Lausanne, Switzerland.
