News about an allegedly mysterious video films circulates among Japanese teenagers. Rumour has it that everyone, who sees it, has only seven days to live. Three girls die one week after the weekend they spent together in the mountains watching horror films. Asakawa, a young reporter, tries to find the truth behind that event. She needs to know why their deaths were caused by a video tape, and how one could prevent it from happening again... She decides to watch the film together with her little boy. That marks the beginning of her race against the clock...
