Nora is a young housewife living with her husband and two sons in a peaceful village, in Switzerland. It is secluded from the echoes of social changes that are taking place in Switzerland, in 1960s, such as protests for equality or civil liberties. However, it will all change, when Nora decides to struggle for women’s suffrage in Switzerland, and transforms from a “house frau” to a feminist activist.
