The story is set in modern Morocco, where tradition merges with modernity. Sofia, 20, lives with her parents in Casablanca. She is pregnant but refuses to admit the fact, event to herself. In Morocco, extramarital sex is punished by imprisonment. Sofia must make decisions, which will preserve the honour of her family and affect her entire life. The director of the film paints a picture of the society seen from the angle of the problems and fears experienced by the protagonists. Although the life Sofia lives is determined by the place she was born, the girl finds the strength to take control of her fate.
