It is a document dedicated to female secondary-school graduates of 1965, girls on the threshold of their adulthood. The film is also a very original auto-thematic picture. It lets the audience in on the arcana of the work of a documentary filmmaker, and asks questions about the extent of the truth a filmmaker can reveal about reality, and how much of that truth can be revealed with the available tools and proven methods. Kazimierz Karabasz himself offers off camera comments on the fragments in which we see the attempts at finding answers to the question what the young women on the verge of their adulthood are really like.
