The main protagonist in the film is Salvador Mallo, a Spanish film director enjoying a cult status, who keeps away from media attention and obsessively protects his privacy. Many years later, the man decides to find the people who have had the biggest impact on his life, and to re-live the most important moments from his past. He goes back to his childhood years, when he and his parents moved to a small town, in an effort to enjoy prosperity.
