There is a saying in Iceland, according to which “on a white, white day, when there is no difference between sky and ground, the dead can talk to those still alive.” On one of such days, Ingimundur loses his wife, who drives her speeding car over a cliff and falls to hear death. The widowed police officer strives to start his life anew: he takes care of his granddaughter, helps to finish a house for his daughter, and participates in therapy sessions. One of these days, his wife speaks to him. Quite accidentally, the man discovers the truth about his late wife and it throws him off balance ― he has not felt so emotionally disturbed in a long time. When the dam of fake calmness finally breaks, nothing will stop the flood of violence...
