26 October, 20:00 · Cinema City — room 6
The director has made himself the main protagonist in the film, portraying a man, who no longer finds it comfortable to live in his hometown of Nazareth. Seemingly trivial arguments with a neighbour, disturbing acts of vandalism, and increasing aggression — all of that makes him ready to live somewhere else. To find a new life and a substitute for his homeland, he first goes to Paris, and then moves to New York. It is not easy, though. He virtually never stops thinking about Palestine, and a vision of a new beginning, albeit a tempting one, turns into a comedy of errors. It is similar to the way in which the protagonist sees the entire film industry, which here becomes a portrait full of grotesque.
