In Monterey, California, a peaceful seaside town, everything seems to stay the same, no matter what. Mothers are always loving, husbands always supportive, children lovely, and houses never stop being beautiful. It all changes on the night of a school assembly. That night a new community was born and named “Monterey Five.” Madeline (Reese Witherspoon), Celeste (Nicole Kidman), Jane (Shailene Woodley), Renata (Laura Dern) and Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) become close friends with a mission of rebuilding their ruined lives. This 7-episode second season created by David E. Kelly and adapted from the popular novel by Liane Moriarty marks the comeback of the successful series. It offers an in-depth look into the nature of lies, strength of friendship, fragility of marriage, and challenges of parenthood.
